A day in the life of Lana and I - For now
Thinking of vlogging this — but we’ll see how long I’m actually at home for!
Here’s a little look at a typical day in the life of me and my sidekick, Lana.
Lana acts as my alarm clock, bright and early at 5 AM, calling for breakfast. I get her sorted, make myself a coffee, and settle down with my laptop to check emails, hunt for new jobs online, and maybe even squeeze in a little blogging if I'm feeling inspired.
By 7 AM, I decide whether to work a bit on Lana Essential Oils — updating statuses and getting people interested in the products.
Around 7:45 AM, it’s time for a bathroom break. I tackle my rather furry hair, brush my teeth (if I remember!), make the bed (if my husband’s already left for work), and clean upstairs for a bit.
By 9 AM, I head downstairs for a glass of water and something small to eat, usually a banana and a muffin to break my fast.
Around 10 AM, I check what we’re short of and plan what’s on the menu for lunch or dinner, depending on my husband’s schedule.
From 10:30 AM to about noon, it’s time to print labels, run errands if needed, and of course, play catch or whatever game Lana has decided on for the day.
At some point, Lana needs her nap — and I’ve realized that if I light an incense stick and lie down with her, I might as well take a little snooze too.
By 2 PM, we’re both refreshed and head downstairs to prep dinner, defrost anything that needs it, and maybe throw a load of washing into the machine (which usually ends up drying indoors, depending on the weather).
At around 4 PM, I catch up on any customer queries and then prep Lana’s dinner for 4:30 PM.
While our food is cooking, it’s time to wash up around 6 PM and set the table for dinner (or supper — whichever you prefer to call it).
By 7 PM, it’s shower time, followed by a final round of playtime with Lana to tire her out. Then it’s straight into bed to either watch something or dive into a book.
And that pretty much sums up my day — assuming there aren’t any deliveries, errands, or unexpected surprises! I usually scroll through social media until I get sleepy, then it’s lights out.
