Fortuitous : By grace
How fortunate we are to wake up every day! Some people did not have the chance to smell the sweet rain or the sunshine that followed or see their flowers blossom from Spring to Summer. The cornflakes in the morning, and their dog barking at a little butterfly sitting on the edge of freedom. If she allows him to. I realized that being grateful for the small things tremendously impacts my life. As I sit and watch Lana play from a long nap this afternoon, my husband is eating his toast and is so focused. I realize that he is amazing and so is my puppy, even though I was smacked with muddy paws and well a little bit of slob. It still made the difference of knowing she is alive, and kicking. Literally. To watch a movie with my husband who had time today, to play online games and Zen out with Lana in the middle. What more can I ask for? By grace, I think my grandmother's prayers are still following me and I do believe that to be alive and grateful for every opportunity is worth every moment even if I found Lana with my lavender bush all dug up and in her mouth. LOL. We will have lavender breath if you look at the positive side of things. I try with this garden, especially for the cool summer nights. But Lana is not having it. Too good to eat plants from mom's hand. Anyway, back to grace! We should be thankful not because we almost made it, but because this journey is worth a thousand memories and hard to forget and so easy to make. Even if supper is a slice of toast and peanut butter. A cup of tea, my laptop and my two favorite beings. Saved by grace. G xxx
