Word of Mouth : Sandysara

In Durban I started a business that was local and that I sourced out different products that came from far and wide at reasonable prices. I was intrigued at the phenomenal response both there and nationwide. I decided to start the online business. It was tough. Working full time and running a business was strenuous. We then got in to a lot of debt over stupid mistakes but we learn from them everyday. I then decided to let all the people I had go, and just go solo. And well, with only UK products been sold I started up again. I only sell on my status, and word of mouth, which I know and believe it is so important. Word of mouth is the heart of your business and the upside of it all is that when you get this kind of hype, the business flourishes at an alarming rate, and that is what you want. There is the local avon lady, and samoosa lady, the bakery at home, and then me the UK importer, that gets UK products at reasonable prices. Everyone deserves an opportunity to makes sure that quality out of your business is key. Supporting each other is worth the effort, and definitely encouraging. The downside is the competitive word of mouth, no why buy from her when you can go to a local beauty shop and get it cheaper, and there is where the supporting local is affected and the fact that those that offer it, do not want to see your business grow. Or build. Maybe because they are resting theirs. It is sad how we send people to everywhere else, but not to the locals. My avon lady, yes she puts grey ribbon around my orders, and thanks me on every occasion with a local chat when I collect it. It is always such a blessing. It is the little things that make shopping local such a journey to be reckoned with, compared to the exorbitant prices we get in the local shops these days. At the moment, when I do sell products, from hair care, to cleaning products to the cereals and biscuits and chocolates, they are all UK based products and if you have never experienced it before, many people will never support you because they are too used to buying the cheaper brands in the local shopping malls. Here is the thing, if you don't use your products, you won't know the outcome for your client base. When you do support, please feel free to ask for a catalogue, and also make sure you email me, or whatsapp me so that I can prepare for your orders to be delivered successfully to your door. I must stay the enjoyment of shopping and then getting that extra at the end of the month is always so welcoming. I enjoy the little gifts I purchase, makes my day feel even better, and what I get is the hair care, and the little snack on a Sunday night. That is so important for me to take care of me. I pay for the delivery, but I don't feel the crunch at all. I guess that is just another way I am keeping my business going, is by also supporting myself. That is guaranteed. So support local and spread the word. People support the local shops because that is all they know. They won't venture out, but familiarity breeds contempt. We need to support those single mothers, and fathers. We need to support our home grown produce and the local agent, on the corner. We have to make a living, while we leading a life. That's the key. Sandysara is my pride and joy and I will make sure that I am always on point, and fit enough to get the products, and make my clientele happy and growing. So I support you local woman and men. I support your hard efforts and your local products. Keep rising even if it is one customer at a time. The word of mouth will surprise you. From Sandysara team, myself of course, to the world. I salute you. Love Gill xxx
